The 2013 National Association of Black Suppliers (NABS) Scholarship Fund Applications is now available at www.NABSSF.org. All applications are due by Saturday March 9, 2013.
The National Association of Black Suppliers (NABS) Scholarship is a stipend of up to $5,000 per year for up to five years that can be used for tuition, room and board and fees at a 4-year college or university of the awardees’ choice. It is awarded to African-American high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding academic and community leadership, and plan to enroll full-time in engineering, technology, business, healthcare or related undergraduate curriculum. Interested students, parents and school personnel are encouraged to access the NABS Scholarship Fund website for additional information and detailed eligibility criteria.
The NABS Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $1.2 million in scholarships to more than 130 students. Its 24th Annual Scholarship Fund Luncheon raised more than $78,500 in scholarships and awarded six full scholarships, two one-time trendsetter awards, two healthcare awards, as well as one trendsetter award to a student in New Mexico.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the NABS Scholarship Fund. The silver anniversary celebration will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Henry Hotel in Dearborn, Mich. Our title sponsor is General Motors; our keynote speaker will be George C. Fraser, Chairman & CEO, FraserNet, Inc.; and the dinner entertainment will be Randy Scott, Tim Bowman and Band.

The NABS Scholarship Fund is a 501c (3) organization started by NABS members dedicated to providing college scholarship assistance to high-achieving high school graduates in southeast Michigan and around the country.
