Detroit Public Library (DPL) will be accepting proposals for design and development of

its digital library portal which will be accessible from the Detroit Public Library website.

The completed design will bring together all known and existing digital collections of the

DPL as one entity within the portal configuration, allowing each collection interface to

retain its unique characteristics.

Criteria for companies submitting bids/quotes/proposals:

During the bidding period, the bidders may raise questions on the information contained

in the bidding documents. Accordingly, the Information System Administrator may revise

the bidding documents in order to clarify, correct, or explain certain items.

The questions must be submitted in writing to the Victor Ibegbu, Systems Administrator,

no later than 7 calendar days prior to bid date. Any related addenda to this RFP,

including written answers to questions, will be posted on the libraries official website at

www.detroitpubliclibrary.org under the section of Bids and Proposals, then under the

appropriate heading. Addenda and updates will NOT be sent directly to vendors. It is

recommended that participating vendors check the website daily for addenda and

updates after release date. Vendors should print out, sign, and return addenda

acknowledgement(s) with their RFP response.
 
Bids are due back in sealed envelopes that are to be clearly marked #N-16648, Web Site Design for Digital Library. Respondent shall provide one original document and four copies. Bids are due back to the Purchasing office no later than 2:30 PM (by the purchasing office clock); Detroit, Michigan Time, Thursday, April 1, 2010 or they will not be accepted. Responses Must be signed to be accepted
 

No late, fax, e-mail or any other method of electronic submission will be accepted

The deadline for all Bid submissions is 1-Apr-10 at 2:30 PM
